1. What data do we process, why and for how long?

1.1 General information

When you use Scito.com, Scito Performance B.V. processes certain general personal data.

Below you will find an overview of the personal data that we process:

– Data about your activities on our website,

– Internet browser and device type.

Scito Performance B.V. collects these general data in the server log files. The information collected is used to display the content of the website correctly and optimally, to ensure the long-term viability of our IT systems and website technology, and to provide the competent authorities with the information required for criminal prosecution in the event of a cyber attack. Scito Performance B.V. analyzes the collected data anonymously and stores it separately from the personal data that you yourself provide to Scito Performance B.V..

Scito Performance B.V. will not keep your personal data longer than strictly necessary to realize the purposes for which your data are collected, with a maximum of 50 months, unless stated otherwise.

1.2 Contacting us

We collect the data you voluntarily share with us via our email address or contact form. Your question will be handled by an employee of Scito Performance B.V. who is responsible for this. Your details will only be used to process your question and will not be used for other purposes, unless explicitly permitted or required by applicable legislation.

We will retain the data you share with us when you contact us for the duration of the conversation in question, but no longer than 6 months after the conclusion of the conversation, unless applicable legislation prescribes a longer retention period in individual cases. The conversation is considered terminated if the circumstances show that all relevant facts have been clarified or if you instruct us to delete your data. All personal data stored in the context of your conversation with us will in this case be deleted immediately.

2 Do we process special and/or sensitive personal data?

Our website does not intend to collect data about website visitors who are under the age of 16. Unless they have parental or guardian consent. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is over 16. We therefore recommend that parents be involved in their children’s online activities in order to prevent the collection of data about children without parental consent. If you are convinced that we have collected personal data on a minor without such consent, please contact us at [email protected], and we will delete this information.

3 For what purpose and on the basis of which basis do we process personal data?

Scito Performance B.V. holds the personal data mentioned on the basis of a legitimate interest.  Apart from the purposes mentioned earlier (correct and optimal display of the website, ensuring the viability of our IT systems and website technology, protection against cyber attacks and sending out the newsletter), Scito Performance B.V. also analyses your behaviour on the website in order to improve the website and to tailor the range of products and services to your preferences.

Scito Performance B.V. takes the protection of your data seriously and will take appropriate measures to prevent abuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized changes. 5 Do we share personal data with third parties?

Scito Performance B.V. shares your personal data with various partners if this is necessary for the correct and optimal functioning of the website. We will make agreements with partners that process your data on our behalf in order to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. Scito Performance B.V. will remain responsible for this processing. In addition, Scito Performance B.V. will not provide your personal data to other third parties. We will only do this with your explicit consent.

5.1 Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google Inc, Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (“Google”), which reports on user interactions on this website.

The information collected by Google Analytics is transmitted anonymously to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. According to Google, only in exceptional cases the full IP address may be transmitted directly to a Google server in the USA and encrypted there. All user-identifiers stored by Google Analytics (e.g. Cookie ID) are automatically deleted from Google’s servers after 50 months.

6 What are your rights?

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw your possible consent for the data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by Scito Performance B.V. and you have the right to restriction of processing and to data portability. This means that you can submit a request to us to send the personal data that we have on you in a computer file to you or another organization named by you.

You can send a request for access, correction, deletion, data modification or request to withdraw your consent or objection to the processing of your personal data to [email protected].

To make sure that the request for inspection was made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your identity document with the request. Make in this copy your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and national number black. This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as quickly as possible, but within four weeks.
